is funded by local donations from civic groups and businesses, individuals,
participant contributions, Johnson County United Way, West Ellis County
United Way, Greater Ennis United Way, Johnson County Commissioners'
Court, Ellis County Commissioners’ Court, Combined Federal Campaign,
State Employees Charitable Campaign, private foundations, and shrinking
federal and state grants. Fund raising efforts include the Annual Appeal,
“Wheels for Meals,” as well as the Annual Golf Benefit and
Ellis County BBQ Benefit.
